How a week works: picking your XI, when players lock, and what happens when a club plays twice or not at all. The same rules apply in MLS and in Frenzy Top 5.
Eleven players, no bench, one goalkeeper, from a fixed set of formations. You have 1000 to spend and every player costs their salary. A player can only be picked once in a week.
There is no single weekly deadline. Each player locks five minutes before his own game kicks off. So you can keep editing the rest of your team long after your early-game players are frozen. Two managers holding the same player can even have different deadlines for him, if they picked him for different games.
Some weeks a club plays two games. Those players carry a 2 in the player list.
When the game you picked him for ends, he is done: he keeps his points and stays in your team for the rest of the week. He cannot be sold, moved to another slot, or re-picked for his club's other game. Done players show in purple; players whose game is merely under way show in grey and unfreeze for nobody until it is over.
If a club is not playing that week, its players cannot be picked.
Whatever your player had scored when it was called off, he keeps, and the pick is done. We do not void it and re-score it later: the replay is usually weeks away, and a result that changes after you have seen where you finished is worse than an odd-looking score you can understand at the time. When the game is eventually replayed it belongs to whichever week it lands in, and scores normally.
